Device Sorting in Web and Widget
What is the default sort for devices in the web browser (basic pages) and the Widget? It almost looks like time added, but not completely.
How do I change this sort? My list is pretty long and in the basic page, it'd be nice to have devices sorted by Device Name.

Re: Device Sorting in Web and Widget
The devices and action groups on the basic (and mini) web pages will sort alphabetically (case insensitive) in beta 5. The Widget will probably take a bit longer to get fixed.

Sorting for variables is not case insensitive (yet).
Both the variable window as the popup-list with variable names.

Can you post an example (or screen shot) showing this? I'm seeing name sorting of variables as always being case insensitive in the main window and popup controls.

I will only give a screenshot from the variables window:
When I tried to make a screenshot for a pop-list, I noticed that sorting indeed is case-insensitive, so that was a false alarm.

The "Name" column title is selected in the window, correct (it isn't shown on your screen shot)?
I'm unable to reproduce what you are showing on my system. What client version of Indigo are you running, and what version of OS X are you running?

The name column is indeed selected.
I'm running Beta 5 on OS X 10.4.8.
[update]
This is weird: when I look on the mini, sorting is case-insensitive in the variables window. But the screendump is from my iMac G4. There it is case-sensitive.

You do have the beta 5 Indigo clients installed on both machines, correct? I do recall fixing the case sorting problem on the variable window a while back, but I don't recall which beta it went in. And are Devices sorted by case on the iMac?

Matt

Beta 5 is installed on all machines. You fixed it in the early days when I mentioned it first. It's working everywhere, except the iMac G4. Tested it on an iMac G3 with 10.4.8 and beta 2: no problem. Upgraded this G3 to beta 5: still no problem.
Devices are sorted ok. Even on the iMac G4.
Started Indigo on the iMac G4 with another user. This works fine...

Try deleting this file (quit the client first) under the user account on the G4 with the problem:
~/Library/Preferences/com.perceptiveautomation.indigo_client.plist

I removed the 3 Indigo Client preferences files in ~>Library>Preferences.
Restarted Indigo and now everything is sorting ok.
Moved the old preferences files to the other user and restarted Indigo.
But that did not break the sorting.
