 Reset X10 Code via Indigo?
Is there an Indigo-based method of resting the X10 code of an Insteon switch? For example, I have an Insteon 8-button KeypadLinc that had been used to control some X10 switches. I finally replaced those switches and want to get rid of the X10 commands from that KPL. Is there a way to do it via Indigo or do I have to drag out my old X10 MaxiController? Thanks in advance.

It depends on what you have to do to remove it. What is the procedure according to the manual?

According to the Smarthome Owner's Manual to remove/change the X10 code of an Insteon KPL you have to:
1) Tap KeypadLinc button 2) Press & hold KeypadLinc’s Set button until it beeps Button’s LED will blink 3) Press & hold KeypadLinc’s Set button again until it beeps again Button’s LED will continue blinking 4) Send the X10 Address, plus ON, 3 times (e.g. send B5, BON, B5, BON, B5, BON) KeypadLinc will double-beep and button’s LED will stop blinking
Fairly certain a script could be written to accomplish this, just wonder if it's been done. I'm not into reinventing the wheel!

Re: Reset X10 Code via Indigo?
Previous post is for KPL v5.0 or newer. Here's the older version change/remove X10 code: Removing the X10 Primary Address 1. Set KeypadLinc Dimmer to Linking Mode by pressing and holding the desired button for 10 seconds until the LED begins blinking slowly and the controlled light flashes. 2. Set KeypadLinc Dimmer to Unlinking Mode by pressing and holding the desired button again for 10 seconds until the controlled light flashes again. 3. Using an X10 Controller, send any X10 Address three times. It does not matter what the X10 Address is as long as it is the same one each time. You have about 4 minutes to perform this step before KeypadLinc Dimmer’s Unlinking Mode times out automatically. 4. Once KeypadLinc Dimmer has received the X10 Address three times, KeypadLinc Dimmer will confirm that it has removed its Primary X10 Address by blinking its LED and flashing the light that it is wired to.
Similar but not quite the same.

Re: Reset X10 Code via Indigo?
I'm not sure it would be possible from a script. I think it might be, but will probably involve poking some data directly into the KeypadLinc.
Another approach (that I recommend) would be to make sure the links you want to keep are marked as persistent in the Link Editing dialog of Indigo, then factory reset the module (per its instructions) and re-sync the links (which will cause Indigo to re-write the links back into the module).

Re: Reset X10 Code via Indigo?
I did pull out my old ControLinc Maxi and plugged it back in just to be ready for this. Apparently it is not working! Not getting any X10 signals in the Indigo "Event Log" window when I try to send any X10 codes. Guess I'll do reset as you suggested. Thanks a bunch!
