Post Plugin Request: Enhanced Web Server Access Control
I would be very grateful if someone could create a web server plugin that would (optionally) not require Basic Auth for web traffic running on the same local network as the Indigo Web server itself. Right now, I have Indigo's Remote Access enabled to keep external folks from accessing the server, however that is a drag for my local clients in the house.

If a plugin is not doable, anyone have any alternative suggestions?

Unfortunately, I don't believe this will be doable as a Web server plugin. It is a somewhat common feature request, however, so hopefully it will make it into a future version of Indigo.

One possible workaround might be to embed the username/password in the URL for your local machines. Not a great solution since it will then be visible in the browser UI on those machines. Maybe you could mask it though by hiding it in a HTML frame? Hmm... maybe a Web server plugin could work -- if the IP address is local then it uses an embedded frame with the URL having the username and password embedded? I'm not sure if that will work or not.
