I've fixed a few things and added a feature to automatically set the alarm's time and date. The download link is in the original post:

Version 1.0.0 (Nov 28, 2011):
- Lots of minor enhancements.
- Fixed a bug where the plugin would hog CPU on first launch. (credit to mrcandy for finding this one)
- Changes to alarm devices now take effect immediately without having to restart the plugin.
- Added an action to set the time of the alarm to the same as the computer. Setup a schedule to run this nightly to keep your alarm's clock in check and to adjust for changes in Daylight Savings Time.

You set your fire, water and gas sensor to what? (door, window or motion) (maybe you should add 24hr/surveillance)

Is the different variable for away and stay armed? I use it to triggered different heating/cooling setting base on that.

I was thinking about that the other day. I'll add those options to the list. Don't sweat it too much, because to be honest that selection isn't used right now anyways, they are for future use. They might come in handy once the plugin can generate it's own Indigo Touch pages.

With the serial bridge and the script I was able to log zone activity and put the alarm if they wasn't any activity for an hour, how would you go about doing this with your plugin!

Will there be? Here is an example of he importance for me.... When it's armed away I close all the light in the house and some sockets too, but not when it's armed in a stay mode.

In the next release 'll add an event that will fire for each mode so you just have to setup a trigger.

Let me know which code or command it was and I'll see if I can get it into the next release.

Sounds like if I'm going to do the coding for this I'll need one to test with. Unless someone else who has one is capable of doing it. Maybe I'll ask them if they'll send over a loaner. They'll sell more if we can get it working nicely with Indigo so it should be worth their while.

Ask - worst they can do is say no. ChrisB asked Global Cache for some testing hardware and I believe they worked out some deal.

I'm interested in getting a DSC alarm system and using the plugin with Indigo.

What extra hardware do I need to get a DSC system talking to Indigo? Also, are there certain models of the DSC system that work better than other with this plugin?

Any advice is welcome.

Any DSC with a TL-100, a serial to usb converter for your mac should do it for you!
