Every time I reboot (under Snow Leopard and now Lion) I have to restart the local server. This takes several minutes each time and is very annoying. The is with Indigo 4. Has this been fixed in Indigo 5? My needs are simple so I don't need a remote server.

In the Start Local Server dialog, do you have "Auto start Indigo server on user login" checked? And, do you have your Mac set to automatically log in to the user account where you have Indigo installed?

Thanks I didn't notice that as I have had "Run client/server as single application" checked. As I said my needs are simple. Is there any advantage to running the Indigo server on my computer (other than the reboot problem with Run client/server)?

When I reboot I have to login to my acct with my password.

I think I must have misunderstood what you wanted. The Indigo UI (client) is a separate process from the Indigo server (runs in the background and you don't see it) - when you have it configured like you do now they *appear* to be the same but they really aren't.

If what you want is to have the Indigo UI start up automatically you have to do something else. Most people don't want the client UI running all the time because it's mostly used for configuring things. The server process is the one that handles running all the automation logic.

The advantage of having the separate processes is that you don't have to worry about starting up the client application in order for your triggers and schedules (formerly time/date actions) to work - just have the server start in the background when you log in and only start the client when you need to change things.

For Indigo to operate, you must be logged in to your user account. So, most people just have their Mac set up to automatically log in to their account when the computer reboots so they don't have to manually do it.

BTW what changes are there for V5? All I saw listed was for the Pro version.
