Depends on which version you have. The newer ones let you set the backlight brightness by:

• Simultaneously press the 3rd and 6th buttons and releasing, presuming KeypadLinc is in 8 button mode; for 6 button mode it is the same physical buttons but will be the 2nd and 5th physical buttons.
• Adjust the local load brightness level by holding down KeypadLinc Dimmer’s On/Off Button(s) to brighten or dim the controlled light.
• Simultaneously press the 3rd and 6th buttons and then release.
• The LED's will mimic the Brightness Level Percentage of the main load

No, you have to use the manual steps above.

Is there a way to have 5.0 dim the keypad LED's now via Action group / Schedule?

I know you can change intensity via the device box manually for newer modules, but can it be automated?

I would like to dim them all the way down once I tell Indigo I am sleeping, then return to full brightness during the day.

Currently it is a UI only operation, but I'll add creating an action for it to the feature consideration list.

Looks like the newer Switchlincs also allow dimming of the LED brightness indicator as well.

I second this... even with the 10% brightness it's still too bright for us to sleep with our bedroom door open. I cut some paper the size of the keypad button and placed it behind it so it cuts the brightness down to a manageable level (although you still get bleed through around the edge of the button)... unfortunately, this makes difficult to read during the day. Having a simple actionable item that you can trigger with the isDaylight would be awesome.

+1 vote for this. Being able to have different levels for day, night, sleeping, etc. would be outstanding!

+1 here too - they are bright indeed at night, would love a tie in to isDaylight!

Indigo only allows dimming down to 10%, but if you use the manual dimming method, you can get all the way down to 0%.
I have it set to 0% in my bedroom and it looks great at night.
I, too, vote for dimming as an actionable item.

Yes you can dim to zero, but not for a button that is ON

It is easy to set to "0" and it works on all models.






Just sleep facing the other direction!

Now when i sleep the house all the LED brightness go to 1 and when we wake up in the morning it goes to 100%... this simple thing makes the whole system feel so much more polished and professional!
