 Custom images slow to load
I made some .png files from images of my alarm panel, using an image of the alarm panel and then cutting out each button, saving as .png and setting them over the base image buttons so they would work. Does just fine.
Problem is that the buttons are slow to load on Indigo Touch in comparison to the Indigo standard "small green button" for instance. In checking the file size, they are only 6 kb vs 4 kb for the standard buttons. Also one of them does not want to load reliably.
Any ideas? It's like you can watch the buttons populate the screen, vs the "instant" snap on of the Indigo buttons.

Re: Custom images slow to load
All of the default control images come stored (pre-cached) in the Indigo Touch application itself, so those are pretty much instantaneous. Is it slow over 3G/Edge, or over Wi-Fi? And if the latter, local Wi-Fi or remote Wi-Fi?

Re: Custom images slow to load
Slower when on 3G but still slow at home on wifi unless right near the router. Any way of embedding them into Indigo? eg pasting them into some code in the file? Would be a nice option if one is pretty sure a custom image is a keeper.

Not currently, although I'd like to improve the smarts of the caching to handle it automatically.
Have you tried turning off the firewall on your Mac totally?
And make sure Stealth Mode is disabled on it as well. And is Bluetooth turned OFF on your iPhone?

Re: Custom images slow to load
Had previously disabled Firewall and Stealth Mode, and bluetooth is always turned off at home, so no wifi interference from those issues.
While Preview can resize a cropped image, also dropping its kb, what program would you recommend to just cut the kb of the images themselves? Or is that not really part of the issue?

Graphic Converter is my graphical tool of choice.
