Post Uploading won't give 'good' message
Hi there.

I was running my automation setup fine using motion sensor hawk eye sending to transceiver sending to 2414u connected to the computer. I'm not sure what happened but disconnections maybe occurred batteries are fine, i am unable to upload full data to 2414u such as 'daylight not supported'
When before it was.

So basically the light attached to the motion detector will turn on but not off...

No events log for on or off as well noted.

Has anyone had this dilemma ..? And if so, any assistance to resolve would be appreciated.

Not sure if it is hardware either as the 2414u light indicator is strobing too.

Alright, thank you for reading at least.

Choose the Interface->Upload Settings... menu item, then select the particular Trigger Action that isn't working. What compatibility is shown? Note the red text in the dialog when you select the Trigger Action -- what exact reason does it give for the incompatibility?

Hi there.
'condition type 'if dark' not supported'
'action auto-off' ignored

I'm not sure what's going on, but any insight is helpful. Thanks Matt

The 2414u doesn't support conditions on triggers or time/date actions, so the message:

condition type "if dark" not supported (ignoring)

means that it won't try uploading the condition part of that trigger to the 2414 since it doesn't support it.

Also, the message:

action auto-off ignored (not compatible with PowerLinc)

means the same thing - the 2414 doesn't support auto-off functionality, so it will ignore the auto off portion of the action. The 2414 doesn't support much of the functionality in Indigo which is why we recommend that people leave their Macs on and Indigo running if you want full functionality.

Hi jay. The 2414u is actually connected to the Mac at all times.

If I trip the motion sensor for 'pantry' the light goes on
But the events log doesn't show any event occurring.
So that the light remains on.

Still, the 2414u is attached to the computer.
So, basically the setup remains >> motion to transceiver to 2414u to computer.

For some reason though, the events log doesn't display what's occurring so no off signal is sent...

Thank you for your reply, and any advice in advance.

It sounds like Indigo is in offline mode, meaning the PowerLinc is running standalone. Choose the Interface->Connect menu item and see if that helps.

Ok, it just shows disconnect. I am able to control the lights via iPhone/iPad but I don't understand why it would be behaving this way, when conditions such as daylight and auto off previously worked.

Thanks Matt.

Ok. The problem is resolved. What it appeared to have been was simply disconnecting the 2414u and the hardware to that particular outlet and the USB cable. Quit indigo 4 and reattached everything.
Thanks for all the assistance, indigo 4 has been flawless.
:D
Thanks again.
