 High-Availability
This is a post 5.0 feature request... How about a High-Availability option. This would allow Indigo to run on two separate systems. each with its own PLM/PLC, with one system online and the other in backup mode. The online system would continually update the backup system database and send [i]heartbeat[/[] messages. If the backup system lost heartbeat, it would take over. etc. The reason is, as good as Insteon/X10+Mac+Indigo might be, it is still a little quirky and failures are not at all unknown. Would you trust your house, garden, pets, etc. to such a system for more than 24-to-48 unattended hours?
I would assume this would be a FOR FEE (extra cost) feature - revenue for you improved reliability for us.

 Re: High-Availability
While it sounds feasible, it's actually impractical because of the way INSTEON linking works. In order to accomplish seamless failover, all INSTEON links would have to be duplicated across both PowerLincs and the linked devices. Doing that reliably is really just not possible because of all the various failure scenarios.
If it were just a matter of replicating the Indigo database, it would be much more practical but unfortunately it isn't.

 Re: High-Availability
Maybe if there were a way to reprogram a PLM to have the same ID as another... but then it would need to know to shut up while the master is active.
