 iPad support?
This topic will not come as a surprise...
Are you already planning support for Indigo on the iPad?

 Re: iPad support?
Indigo Touch should run on it out-of-the-box of course, but I'm sure we'll be looking at the SDK to see what we can do to make an even better HA experience on it.

And only $499 for a beautiful big and wireless touch screen.

 Re: iPad support?
No doubt about it, the iPad has such unlimited potential for HA as to be mind boggling. Looks like a stone, cold winner.
With that screen size, just imagine the universal remote layout possibilities....
Now the question is when can mortals get one!

They'll be available in about 60 days.
Here's hoping someone develops a reasonably priced wall mount kit for the thing.

Right on! A nice wall mount docking station would be great for Indigo, Sonos, and so many other uses (and on so many walls!)

 Re: iPad support?
What I'd like to see is a Kiosk mode. Is that currently possible with an iPhone/Touch?

 Re: iPad support?
The iPad is the touch screen extension to Indigo that I have been looking for. As long as Indigo touch will support the larger screen, it will work pretty well without much change.

 Re: iPad support?
What I'd like to be able to do...is have an iPad app that pulled my own custom designed UI controller page through...and to switch from one room's controls to the next, flip across the screen like flipping the page of a book or how the iPhone handles flipping between screens.
I must admit I do wish it did multitasking so that I could have a little icon on any screen and be able to switch to indigo without closing an app.

Couldn't you just design your UI controller pages, then access them via the Safari browser on the iPad? alangraham999 wrote:I must admit I do wish it did multitasking so that I could have a little icon on any screen and be able to switch to indigo without closing an app.
Yep.

Touch already does this with control pages. And the obvious change to Touch for the iPad will be to enable more of the control page to be viewed. As for the flipping - that's just UI dressing that probably doesn't really translate well to Touch. However, there may be better navigation options in the longer term. alangraham999 wrote:I must admit I do wish it did multitasking so that I could have a little icon on any screen and be able to switch to indigo without closing an app.
I'm not convinced multitasking is the answer - put Touch in the dock, then its 2 touches from any app to get to Touch - not a huge burden IMHO. App switch times on the iPhone aren't bad, and should scream on the iPad.

 Re: iPad support?
Now that there's a possibility I will have multiple iPads, one feature I could think of is the ability to target each iPad differently. When Indigo Touch starts on iPad A it would be restricted to specific content. This would be handy for the iPhone too.

 Re: iPad support?
I dunno. the iPad seems like too much $$ for too few features. No multitasking, no flash, limited (typical Apple) video formats, and the iPhone OS.
They talk about iWork? lol Yeah, try typing on the virtual screen. (should have named it iTried)
Its just about what I was looking for; a Kindle sized iPod Touch. But the bang for the buck leaves me saying nah. But then, its NOT a computer, just a big PDA.
