The above means when Indigo went to do a partial sync, it noticed the links in the KeypadLinc had changed. This means a link was added or removed outside the context of Indigo (manually at the switch itself). Therefore, Indigo must do a full sync and read in all of the links from the KeypadLinc before it can add/delete/change any links at all. This is unavoidable if the links in the KPL are changed outside of Indigo.

Ok, thanks for the explanation, but the thing is, i only do links through Indigo, so that couldn't have happened (no one else in the house either).
also notice the 00.00.00 address at the end...

Looks like the links database in your KPL has become corrupt somehow. I'd suggest a factory reset and a Re-Sync from Indigo.

From the Event Log -- it is "2nd Floor Hall Lights 2."

Just scan up the Event Log until you see a line that starts with "PowerLinc Linking - syncing remote device", then it will have the Device name for which it is syncing.

ok, and again just for my info, a few lines below read:
PowerLinc Linking - syncing remote device "2nd Floor Hall Lights 2" (address 11.71.83, firmware version 3.5)
PowerLinc Linking - syncing changes only
PowerLinc Linking - end of links list marker has changed; must perform full device sync
PowerLinc Linking - syncing all links
PowerLinc Linking - device "2nd Floor Hall Lights 2" links updated
so it looks like it completed? what is it about the "PowerLinc Linking - syncing remote device" that indicates its an error?
just to confirm, so the switchlinc looks 'corrupted', and i need a factory reset?

The sync for a specific device always starts with a line like this:
- Code: Select all
PowerLinc Linking - syncing remote device
and does not end until this line: - Code: Select all
PowerLinc Linking - sync complete
Everything else between is related to the sync OR is incoming INSTEON traffic from other modules (like your Motion Sensors firing).

The fact that it is reading links that have an address of 00.00.00. That means the end-of-list marker wasn't found in the remote device, which means it has somehow gotten corrupt. I do not know why this happened, but a factory reset will blank out the links list and a re-sync in Indigo should add back all of your persistent links.
