It works great but only to about 30-ish inches when measuring distance to water. Solid ground may be better.
I use (used) it with SerialBridge.

Instead of reading the serial output, I use the analog voltage reading attached to an EZIO2X4. Worked fairly well in testing. Haven't put it in production.
