I am using a W800 USB to pickup X10 with general success

I recenly have had anumber of DS10A units having trouble talking to Indigo

Normal Door movement hets the unit to flash but no acknowledge ment for that unit on Indigo even thoug several other DS10A are tracked

On the offending unit if i repeated presss the test button is usuallly , but not always get am acknowledgement in the log

Right now i have two fucntioning properly two doingthe intermitent and two just no event entry

I assume this is just part of the normal life cycle for the DS10A indicating that its time to whip out the CC again

Anything I may have missed?

Could be that - or it could be that you've got something interfering with the X10 RF signal (perhaps just in a certain physical area). In either event, I'd highly recommend that you consider switching to more reliable technology. Z-Wave is my first choice for sensors, but Insteon sensors should also be more reliable than X10 (given the 2-way communication, retries and acknowledgements).

I bet there are Z-Wave alternatives, though I will admit I haven't heard of anyone trying them.

OK thanks for the inputs..justs seems kind of strange where only a parts of the sensors stop working

Guess its time tolooks at alternatives in security systems
