Hello !
I searched information on this product compability with indigo but i didn't found it ?
I commanded it, but i'm not sure that Indigo is compatible with it ?
It' a good product for European customer because we can buy US "RF product" if we have this receiver..
You can see it (Pack 60003)

The RFXCOM sounds promissing, also because you can add temperature sensors to it and other stuff. But what is also nice is that you can use it to send RF commands. So it could be possible to switch an alarm system on and off using the RF transmitter.
Being able to receive the US RF codes is nice, but keep in mind that it might be illegal. I know that these devices are not allowed in the Netherlands.

I heard that in France, law says : "Any wave RF which does not belong to anybody, belongs to the French Army"
But, it's tolerate ... I'll sell FM forbidden product to policeman as this Ipod Product : Itrip

I'm not sure if Indigo is compatible or not with this hardware. It looks like there is a transmitter module that is available with CM11 protocol support or proprietary protocol support. Likewise, the receiver is available with W800RF32 compatibility or proprietary protocol. Indigo does support both the CM11 and W800RF32, so that would make me think it may be possible to use the RFXCOM with Indigo. But I'm not sure. I am positive it will NOT work if you get the proprietary protocol versions.
Regards,
Matt

Hello mric,
The RFXCOM receiver will operate connected to Indigo.
All receivers have different (software selectable) operating modes and the 32 bits mode is fully compatible with the W800.
The CM11 is only able to transmit X10 lighting commands and the RFXCOM CM11 compatible RF transmitter can also transmit only X10 lighting commands. If you like to send X10 security commands then you need the RFXCOM standard transmitter. But I don't know if there is a possibility in Indigo to send commands to an RS232 interface.
I have developed the RFXCOM devices (but not an employee of that company) If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
best regards, Bert

Hello mric,
I've sent you a privat message too.
The USB device uses a VCP (virtual com port) to communicate. You have to select the W800 and configure the com port of the vcp device.

 RFXCom and security devices
Thanks to b_weijenberg for the help. Here is a summary of the process.
If you plan to use the RFXCom don't forget to install the FTDI usb serial driver available from FTDI web site http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
If you plan to use security devices such as DS10E, KR21E, SD90E, ... be sure to setup the receiver to 32 bit mode (not to 32 bit X 10). To do this, use the Receiver utility (See CD provided with the RFXCom). This utility is windows compliant only. You need to install usb serial driver (provided on the CD). For this read the manual.

If you don't have a windows machine, you can use a RS232 terminal and send the f029 command to the RFXCom. It may work.

I came across this post today and I very interested in this technology. Has anyone got this to work with Indigo? If so what is required, can the W800RF32 be used......so many questions!
Thanks,
Dale

The RFXCOM module is an alternative for the W800RF32. So you don't have to use a W800RF32.
If you like to mix European and American X10 wireless stuff, you can configure a RFXCOM module with receivers for both frequenies used.
The W800RF32 only supports one frequency.
Or you can get a RFXCOM module that has a receiver and a sender. So you can send RF commands from Indigo. But... sending from Indigo is not supported, which means you'll have to take care of that yourself. I believe it might be done using the Serial Bridge, but I'm not sure.
Maybe Matt can add something to this.
