Post Beta 3 webserver issues
Ok, I have been trying the betas out before purchase, beta 2 the built-in webserver was fine, now on beta 3 the page errors out. Even the preview in browser no longer works properly. It states cannot connect to server. I can ping 127.0.0.1.
This is on OS X 10.4.7 Server, no changes in webserver settings. All of my other web hosted pages are working.
Also I have been doing this on the one machine, I dont even want to throw network errors yet :)

I presume you have all the correct settings inside the Start Local Server dialog set (available from the Indigo 2->Start Local Server menu item): Start and connect to Indigo Server must be ON, Allow remote access must be ON, and Enable remote Web browser access must be ON?

Did you change the default port numbers? The web server defaults to 8000. If you have any other apps trying to use 8000, then there will be a conflict (change Indigo to 8001, etc.)

Have you tried restarting that Mac?

If that still doesn't work, then fire up the Terminal application and type:

ps -axww | grep "Indigo"

and let me know what lines you get back.

Regards,
Matt

Yes and I just realized my brainfart!! I changed the default port to 82, then when I was double checking the settings, duh! I thought that maybe you do not run as root so there I cannot have it below port 1024! Guess what, change to port 8001 and it WORKS!

Thanks a bunch :)

The usual place. If what you get says beta 2 (or 1), then try clearing your browser cache and downloading it again.
