Please help. I’m unable to get a trigger that’s activated by a motion detector linked to an Insteon #2450 I/O Linc to trigger when the I/O Linc fires.. The Optex motion detector and the Insteon I/O Linc reliably work and the I/O Linc produces an Insteon signal which is always recorded by Indigo. However, a trigger that is supposed to activate when the I/O Linc turns on (or off) does not work if the process is initiated by the Optex motion detector. If I trigger the I/O Linc within Indigo, then the trigger activates perfectly.

Here’s the Indigo log showing at first two Optex motion detector-initiated events at 10:40 and 11:04 AM followed by me triggering the I/O Linc manually through Indigo:

I’ve tried resetting the server and rebooting Indigo without change. The trigger type is : Device State Changed - Binary Output 1 Becomes On. Condition is Always.

Please help. What am I doing wrong here?

Take screenshots of the trigger definition and attach to a reply.

I/O-Lincs have two states in Indigo, one for the input PINs and one for the output RELAY. In this case I think you want to trigger off of the Input state changing not the Output state, as you have the motion sensor connected to the IN pins.

I changed the trigger to: Insteon Command Received; Received: Any Command -- and it seems to work. Many thanks.

My assumption, clearly wrong, was that the 2450 I/O was sending a notice to Indigo but it seems obvious now that it's reporting to Indigo that it received an inputl from the Optex motion detector.
