Insteon open/close sensor 2843-522 help with triggers

Hi all,

Very new to inteon and indigo I searched but couldn’t find info on setting up a wireless open/close sensor so it turns on a light when opened and the light stays on when closed then off when opened and closed again. Basically a toilet door opening and closing but leaving the light on when in there

any help/direction would be much appreciated

Cheers,

Pete

Re: Insteon open/close sensor 2843-522 help with triggers

I am using z-wave devices but it should be similar :)

I have two triggers set-up as follows:

The first to use when entering (when the light will be off):
trigger_1a.png
trigger_1a.png (29.97 KiB) Viewed 1634 times
trigger_1b.png
trigger_1b.png (38.37 KiB) Viewed 1634 times
trigger_1c.png
trigger_1c.png (27.85 KiB) Viewed 1634 times

The second when leaving (the lights will be on):
trigger_2a.png
trigger_2a.png (29.91 KiB) Viewed 1634 times
trigger_2b.png
trigger_2b.png (38.03 KiB) Viewed 1634 times
trigger_2c.png
trigger_2c.png (39.97 KiB) Viewed 1634 times

The triggers only work when it is dark (after sunset).
Note the 5 second delay on leaving - gives you time to see when going out of the doorway ;-)

Hope this helps :)
