 Venstar T1800 Hudimity set point
Just installed T1800 last week (loving it's features) with new rev. 2.0 thermostat adapter. also using Indigo 4.1.4
There is a programmable feature to set a humidity level setpoint on the thermostat itself and then have the thermostat run the fan and humidifier to reach that humidity level. I can set these options from the thermostat no problem and I have it wired and it works fine by itself. But is there a way to set the humidity set point thru Indigo? I know that I can get the current humidity but how about setting items with in the Venstar T1800?
I will work out the logic (figured this might be a fun little project for me).
Also, does anyone know if the Venstar T1800 is smart when it comes to triggering the fan/humidifier in combination with a call for heat?
Example: if setpoint is 36 and actual humidity is lower then the Venstar turns on humidifier and is programmed to now run the fan. What happens if the inside temp now falls were heat is needed? Does it just make a call to start the burner (natural gas furnace mine installed 2005)?
Sorry for the lack of brevity here.

The current thermostat adapter (v2.0) doesn't support getting/setting those setpoints.

Re: Venstar T1800 Hudimity set point
Why does Indigo show my T1800 device "Humidity 20?" The T1800 cannot read humidity without the optional humidity module, which I don't have.
One would think Indigo would report [--] or [ ] if the module was not present.

Re: Venstar T1800 Hudimity set point
The Venstar adaptor doesn't know if the humidity module is installed - it just asks the thermostat for the humidity and the thermostat responds with bogus information if the humidity module isn't installed. This is why we put the "Thermostat has humidity sensor" option in the thermostat device dialog - uncheck that and Indigo will ignore all humidity from the adaptor.

Can I assume that is a v5 option? My device dialog [v4] shows "Display current humidity in remote UI", and when checked, or unchecked, the Indigo device dialog displays 20.

We added it in one of the v4 dot releases - are you up to date?

I'll have to dig back to figure out when we changed that dialog. When you have "Display current humidity in remote UI" unchecked, where exactly are you seeing the humidity being reported?
Also, try a define and sync on the thermostat - that will reset the type.
