[ANSWERED]Insteon Hidden Door Sensor Low Battery Notificatio

I have my Insteon hidden door sensors triggered to send me an email when they have a low battery. Insteon Command received "On" Group 3...send email. I have had two sensors go dead due to a dead battery in the last month and have not received any kind of notification. I had to figure it out on my own by sorting the "Last Updated" device status. Am I doing something wrong and/or is this a common occurance for battery Insteon devices. My Insteon motion sensor notifications work fine.

Also, this has reminded me to ask Matt if there is any ETA for using the "Last Updated" device status info as a trigger so I can see if one of my devices fell off the grid unknowingly. Thanks.

Re: Insteon Hidden Door Sensor Low Battery Notification

It could very well be a signal issue - devices that broadcast like that are susceptible to signal collisions. I do also seem to remember that some of the early versions of the firmware for low battery warnings were quite hit or miss, though I don't know if we ever identified any specifics.
