For a new mac. Indigo does not need high cpu speed. But it benefits more from multitasking. I believe the 2014 Mac mini has only 2 processors. the one before has 2x2 multi threading -- forgot how it was called.

Indigo 7 will require osX 10.7.5 or greater. My old Mac mini won't do better than 10.6.8. That's the motivation. I've been putting off upgrading in hopes that apple will refresh the Mac mini line, but best estimates for that are October 2016.

Really? I don't recall that being announced (or, for that matter, decided)...

Im sorry to overstep. I was so very sure I had remembered asking about this and that you had said 10.7.5... so I went and looked up the conversation... and my memory sucks :oops: . It's been a few months (over 7 by my count) since I asked:

viewtopic.php?f=75&t=15083

Then you replied;

"While we haven't made a final decision yet, it is very likely that the OS requirements will go up (though not sure which exact OS release). After doing some investigation though, it appears that 10.7 through 10.11 all have the same minimum hardware requirements (it seems likely that you'd need more memory for later releases). So, I'd probably recommend getting a Mac that's in that list if you're considering it anyway..."

...emphisis added. And yes I was considering it anyway.... but I came away thinking several months later that my old mac wouldn't be supported and somehow I imagined the fictitious details. Sorry that I mis-spoke and I hope I'm still your favorite customer. Your software rocks and if I ever have another child I'm naming it "Indigo".

This thread is old but I wanted to follow-up that Indigo 7.0 is now available (has been for a while). It includes supports for the INSTEON Alert Module (2867-222). We are also investigating adding support for its settings.
