So I guess a Lion upgrade kills SB?

There are no plans to update it for Lion compatibility. It would be a very large project to update it (way larger than one would guess), and the interest/sales in SB aren't in the right ballpark to justify it.

We might add some additional serial related helper routines/abstractions into the Indigo v5 plugin architecture, but those will be python (not AppleScript) based.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but about to upgrade my mini to snow leopard, kinda forgot all the ins& outs, but does SB work under SL?

(I'm very cautious about upgrading mission critical machines)

I believe it does work on Snow Leopard - it was Lion's lack of Rosetta that caused the problem. You may have to explicitly install Rosetta - it seems to me that it was an optional install back then.

I can confirm that SB works fine in Snow Leopard. That is what I am running on my iMac with Indigo.
Right now, I think this is the only thing holding me back from going to Mountain Lion.

Right now, I use the SB to connect Indigo to my M1 Gold. I would really like to keep this going, but I also would like to make the leap to Mountain Lion. I assume it is still one or the other?

Yeah, I don't believe there is going to be any way to get SB to run under Mountain Lion. May it R.I.P.
