Vivint Element and Honeywell T6-Pro Z-Wave Support.

Hello everyone,

Hello everyone, I had the chance to test two thermostats with Indigo, and since there is not a lot of info one can find about Z-Wave Thermostats, I just wanted to share my experience.

My HVAC has four wires without the C-Wire, single-stage AC, and Gas furnace using Y - W - G - R if you find this info helpful.

Everything seems to work for this particular thermostat:

However, with the T6 Pro:

I miss the humidity sensor and the circulation mode for the FAN:

Anyway, one works and the second one is very close.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for this review. I've been considering the T6 for my home and this will give me pause. I wonder if Indigo has the full spec's on the T6.

Re: Vivint Element and Honeywell T6-Pro Z-Wave Support.

i have two T6 pro models installed. (and a third waiting to be installed when i find some time).

humidity does get reported in indigo for my units. maybe repeat the define-and-sync process and see if that clears up for you, maybe?

I'm not sure exactly what you meant when you said "i miss the humidity sensor and the circulation mode for the fan". it appears that the fan mode is present in the image you sent. i will say that i have seen that indigo can only represent "always on" and "auto" modes for the fan, whereas the T6 Pro thermostat has another possible mode which is called "circulate" that turns the fan on/off periodically.

to make sure we're talking about the same type of device, here's the device details for mine:

It does work. Actually, I missed humidity, but after some minutes, it appeared and has kept working flawlessly ever since.

You were right. Thanks for the correction. The humidity did show after some minutes; I didn't realize it until I read your reply.

However, the only missing functionality (for me and so far) is the "circ" functionality. Circ functionality is a fan function similar to the Auto function that turns the fan ON from time to time just to move air. Other than that particular detail, everything seems to work perfectly.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Re: Vivint Element and Honeywell T6-Pro Z-Wave Support.

I also would like it if Indigo could support the third fan mode "circ".

This is the mode I use most of the time in my thermostats - to keep air circulating through the space to smooth out temp differences in the space and to pass air through the air filters. If I ever need to change the mode from Indigo, the only way I can get it back to "circ" mode is to walk over to the thermostat and enter it (woe is me! :) ).
