New to Indigo attempting transition from WINPLUS Active Home

I have been using the WINPLUS Active home for some time on PC, I have downloaded the Indigo trial (20 days to go) and iphone, appreciate any help and advice on using the the current components in Indigo so I can ditch the PC. I have the software running on the PC using the plug in to the wall computer controller/module interface, RF computer controller, transceiver module, RF remotes etc and the appliance and light components, the trail looks great but trying to incorporate what I have is a bit of mission, not savvy enough to now where to start? Appreciate any help so I can do the switch over. cheers :?

Re: New to Indigo attempting transition from WINPLUS Active

For that interface (which appears to be the USB version of CM11/CM12) you need to install USB to serial driver. I normally recommend this open source driver but I am not sure if it is OS X Lion compatible yet. Another user on this thread reported success using this driver on Lion.

Once you have the driver installed and you reboot, choose the CM11 interface type in Indigo's preference dialog and choose the newly added (by the driver) Serial Port from the popup control. If it doesn't work, then copy/paste what you seen in the Event Log when it tries to connect.

 Thanks Matt all seemed to work till I had to change the usb port, I have plugged the usb direct in to the MAC, it seems the controller still activates schedules from the windows schedules maintained on the controller.

Indigo shows the command is sending but nothing happening?

Re: New to Indigo attempting transition from WINPLUS Active

Your log is showing that the CM15 isn't currently online (the 'offline' in the Sent messages). How exactly do you have your Indigo preferences defined? What popups do you have chosen for the main interface and serial port? Based on your Event Log it says you have selected you have the MR26 -- do you really have the MR26 and the CM15?

Re: New to Indigo attempting transition from WINPLUS Active

Thanks Matt

the port reference is showing but only 2 choices to select, mr26 or w800rf32, do not see the cm11/12 choice? A bit lost here as it was working initally.

thanks for your help, the computer controller is still working fine and running the stored schedules from the pc program however i would like to have this working completly via indigo.

Re: New to Indigo attempting transition from WINPLUS Active

You're looking at the wrong interface - that's the X10 RF interface settings. You need to look at the X10 Powerline settings to enable the CM15.
