Hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for physical media in the enthusiast space. Streaming services just aren’t there yet from a picture/sound quality standpoint (regardless of their UHD HDR & Atmos claims).

Agreed. I still buy physical media myself. The only true 4K I've ever seen was on physical media.

My Oppo BDP does an amazing job upscaling DVD content and the Blu-Ray playback quality is first rate--especially at the price point.
