 Pandoraboy broken? Applescriptable streaming audio?
I use pandoraboy for streaming audio. The advantage over just pandora is that it is applescriptable, so, with the Airfoil/PB/iTunes integration script and a few fixes it has worked well.
However, Pandora apparently changed their website, and now, unless I'm missing something, my PB app will not log in automatically. This effectively has broken PB as an unsupervised WHA app that can be turned on and off from Indigo Touch. I do think I could get the individual stations/streams to load via curl, but don't know how to implement functionality for pause/like/dislike/skip etc.
Does anyone have either a workaround for this problem, or a suggestion for another streaming "genre based" audio service that can be controlled via applescript?

Re: Pandoraboy broken? Applescriptable streaming audio?
Hey Ham - I've been hoping for the same thing (I could never get PandoraBoy to behave - after a day or two it would bring the whole system to a crawl. I think it had a memory leak or something).
Anyway, I've researched all the other streaming services looking for ones with real clients vs just being web-based. They are few and far between. Spotify has a client but I refuse to buy into their slick car-salesman-esque sales techniques (bait-and-switch really makes me angry). I think there was one other but the app wasn't scriptable (or maybe it just cost $$ so I didn't pursue it - I'd rather have ads than pay a subscription).
I don't believe many of these companies are thinking too much about integrating their stuff into HA systems. And the ones that are are building their clients directly into other hardware (a la Netflix) so that doesn't really help us either.
I've given up for the present. Let me know if you find a good alternative.

Jay, I've been searching through the posts to see if there's a way, using AppleScript or python to pass audio to the Touch client, e.g. to play a short audio file to a remote Tocuh client on iPad. This post seems to imply that's still not possible, and you've given up finding a mechanism to do so, at least for now. Is that correct? Jim

Re: Pandoraboy broken? Applescriptable streaming audio?
The Indigo Touch client won't accept audio streams and won't play audio files. In fact, it doesn't receive any specific instructions from the server other than device and control page updates so there's really no mechanism for adding it at the moment. AppleScript/Python really doesn't have anything to do with it. Note that this is a different question that the one Ham originally posted.
When we turn our attention back to Indigo Touch to look at adding other features, like notifications, etc., we'll look at the other requests. Not sure playing audio is that high on the list but we'll consider everything that's been requested. As to when we're going back to work on Indigo Touch - it will almost certainly be next year.
