Taking advantage of iPhoto face recognition

O.K, had a scary idea today. I have a video camera at my front door that I use for motion detection via Security Spy that triggers actions within Indigo. Works pretty well.

Today I got to thinking, wow, it would be cool if I could take advantage of the face recognition feature within iPhoto. Say someone comes up to the door, I could have Security spy snap a picture and import it into iPhoto. Then, iPhoto does its magic of trying to detect faces and sends that information back to Indigo where specific scripts can be used to trigger different actions.

Yes, I understand that it won't be accurate 100% of the time, so I'll leave the automatic flame thrower trigger off, but even if it worked half the time, it would be an amazing thing to have.

Ideas, comments?

I'm searching Smarthome but can't find the automatic flamethrower.

I actually do have some that I built that I plan to put on the end of the driveway. They run on propane and are triggered by a valve that opens simply by applying 110 volts. Shoots a nice big ball of flame. I'll be using it when guests come in the driveway. Obviously that's a manually triggered effect. :)

Mental note: don't show up unannounced at Brian's.

Looks like you had some neat toys on Halloween?!

Now this is a cool idea. Is iPhoto that applesctiptable?

(is iLife 09 only for SL?)
