 applescript to open Control Page
Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a way to open a control page from an applescript? What I'm trying to do is have a button on a control page do one of two things depending on the value of a variable. One of these two things being opening a different control page. So what I need to be able to do in an applescript is:
if condition then do some actions else swtich to different control page ?? endif
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: applescript to open Control Page
Conditional logic on control page actions isn't available in any form at the moment. It's on our request list though so perhaps some day.

Re: applescript to open Control Page
Thanks for the quick response! Ok, so I see that what you are saying about conditionals on a control page, but I think that is slightly different from what I am trying to do too. I guess what I am trying to do is open a control page from an applescript. So is there currently no way to do that either?
Thanks again!

Re: applescript to open Control Page
My comment about conditional logic applies - you want to perform a slightly different action based on some condition (in this case, the value of a variable) when a control is activated. That's not currently possible.
The server isn't involved at all in the current process (so AppleScript wouldn't help) because those actions are client-side actions (what page to open when a control is activated) and AppleScript doesn't execute in IWS or Indigo Touch. There are different approaches we could take, but it would require either conditional logic in the clients (IWS and Indigo Touch) OR an extra round-trip to the server to evaluate the condition and determine what the right action really is.
So, bottom line: it's not possible at the moment.
