Error on new install

I am unable to install HA Agent . I have reloaded several times, deleted plugin and pref files, redownloaded plugin.

The error I get is

Re: Error on new install

From what I can tell, this is due to some other application/software running on that system that's already obtained exclusive use of the mDNS port (which it shouldn't be doing).

Is this a dedicated Indigo system? If not, what else are you running on it? Are you running multiple user accounts simultaneously?

Re: Error on new install

I think I may have pinned it down to adding a Silicon Labs zwave 700 dongle to HA, I was going to use that to add a few more devices and use the plugin to bring them into Indigo but will just stick to using Home Assistant to just run Zigbee2mqtt, Adguard, MQTT Explorer, Node-Red, Scrypted, Mosquitto and Tailscale on my old 2014 MacBook and leave home automation to Indigo.

Re: Error on new install

I'm not sure how that could be related to the error above.

Yes you are correct (should not write replies half asleep!).

This morning I transferred my Indigo license to my MacBook M1 and installed the plug-in and got exactly the same error.

I then turned on debug and could setup and control a Tasmota switch (Sonos Woofer), then reloaded the plugin and the error returned, changed the debug mode and could once again control the device until a plugin reload.

At the end of the logs I changed the Sonos Woofer to Tasmota Display lights and they also came on and off until a reload when it failed again.

I'm Baffled

Re: Error on new install

Please answer the questions in my original post: viewtopic.php?f=396&t=27779&p=223179#p223163

Please disable (or delete) the existing HAA devices, and all other non-essential Indigo plugins (especially "Tasmota Bridge", which I can't find in the plugin store). Then restart the Indigo server (not just the plugin).

Re: Error on new install

Also, you say this is a new install? So it's never worked previously? I'm wondering how the address of the HA server got set to homeassistant.local in the plugin config if the plugin is crashing on restart.

Re: Error on new install

Finally got this working.

I formatted the computer about 4 days before the latest Indigo update as Sonoma was causing problems with shortcuts. I reverted back to Ventura, reinstalled Indigo and copied over the backup I took just before the format. It is an M2 Mac mini and the only user is 'indigo'.

I stopped all plugins and HAA devices, rebooted the Mac and still got the errors so the only other apps I had loaded were Tailscale and NoMachine.

I stopped them from loading and restarted the Mac and HAA loaded with no errors, enabled all plugins and restarted and still loading fine, reinstalled NoMachine and Tailscale and rebooted and still HAA loading fine.

Rebooted 2 more times and still no problems so possibly either NoMachine or Tailscale was blocking the initial install.

Tasmota Bridge (aka core bridge) was written by @autolog as a private plugin for a HA box called CORE (which was a disaster) that we were both beta testing and I am using the plugin now just for bringing in Tasmota mains plugs into Indigo, our CORE box's are both gathering dust just like our Hubitat box's.

I did have it loaded before the change to Ventura but never used it so that is possibly were the homeassist.local came from

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and getting it sorted.
