Verisure alarm update

15 seconds update interval seems to work but the system can for some reason not handle 5 seconds without crashing.

This means that the door must be opened minimum 15 seconds before I can be sure that it have been opened and also how and by who it was opened.
I can get the notification that the door have been opened by putting an additional sensor in the door but would like to have an action that update all data.

I hope you understand what I’m asking for howartp.

Re: Verisure alarm update

Hi howartp,

Totally missed the new versions. I have tested 2.0.4 this evening and tried different update intervals.

Tried first with 15 seconds and it worked before I went to 5 seconds. First it didn’t work but then I realised that if I have the door open longer it works, I don’t have the exact time but have a feeling that it’s about 15 seconds. There is something that is delaying the update.

Re: Verisure alarm update

There’s no such thing as alerts FROM Verisure. So it’s impossible to be alerted BY the door opening.

The API only supports querying “what is the current state” - which can either be for the whole system, or for a single door.

As the data is minuscule, I check the whole system every “x” seconds (5 or 15 etc depending what you set), then I populate that data into the plugin device states.

So if you’re opening a door, it will take a maximum of 5.5 seconds to tell you the door is open. If you open and shut it, the eventTime will update after 5.5 seconds even if the currentLockState still says locked as you’ve shut it again.

Re: Verisure alarm update

My tests and the event log says that it doesn’t update the current state every 5,5 seconds. Pls have a look at my event logs,. I’m not sure what is causing this and it can be a problem that can’t be solved.

I know that there is no alert from Verisure but I can put a z-wave sensor in the door that gives information when the door is opened.
I need help to make a query “what is the current state” when my z-wave sensor shows that the door is opened.

This is a part of my event logs.

Re: Verisure alarm update

I was using the wrong variable for refreshRate so regardless of what value you set your refresh rate to, it would only ever refresh every 30 seconds as that's the default.

It should now refresh correctly.

Re: Verisure alarm update

I’m just grateful for all the help.
Thought I should make a clean installation and deleted the 2.0.4 and all it’s files. When I did that I had a look in a previous version of Indigo and there was the original Lindehoff Verisure, I deleted all those files as well.
I have now installed the 2.0.7 and it runs without debugging. I could never do it before, could it be that the Lindehoff version was interfering with your new version?

It’s past my bedtime so I will just let it run through the night and test doors tomorrow.

Re: Verisure alarm update

The 2.0.7. is working flawless with my door looks.
I can get all the information that I want from them.

I’m very grateful for the new plugin.
