Help: unknown thermostat mode in remote links database
I've recently been having an odd problem with my Indigo setup (v5.04). I began noticing that my Venistar thermostat's heat setpoint kept resetting to 55, regardless of what I'd been setting it at. Took a couple of days, but what I'd discovered was that when the TriggerLinc for my front door went on (front door opens), the thermostat gets the signal to setpoint 55. I tried removing the TriggerLinc from my configuration (along with triggers and actions), and re-adding it but results are the same. The problem occurs simply if the TriggerLinc is defined and synced.
My configuration had been working fine for a while. I have no triggers or action groups that would result in that setpoint.
Here's what it looks like when it occurs (heat setpoint was at 68)
Mar 17, 2012 10:11:31 PM Received INSTEON "Front Door TriggerLinc" on (button 1) Error unknown thermostat mode in remote links database Error unknown thermostat mode in remote links database Received INSTEON "House Thermostat" heat setpoint changed to 55.0 Received INSTEON "House Thermostat" heat setpoint changed to 55.0 Received INSTEON "House Thermostat" heat setpoint changed to 55.0 Received INSTEON "House Thermostat" heat setpoint changed to 55.0 Received INSTEON "Front Door TriggerLinc" off (button 1) Received INSTEON "House Thermostat" heat setpoint changed to 55.0
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Joe

Re: Help: unknown thermostat mode in remote links database
Hi Joe,
It sounds like your Thermostat has somehow gotten a bogus link in it which responds to the TriggerLinc scene broadcast. Try factory resetting your Thermostat module (unplug the adapter -- be sure and press the release button in the middle, hold down the SET button on the side, plug back in, wait 10 seconds), then Define and Sync it again in Indigo. That should clear out the bogus link, then Indigo will re-write the links it needs into the adapter.

Re: Help: unknown thermostat mode in remote links database
I did as instructed. After redefining the link and related triggers, problem seems to be resolved. My wife had begun to wonder why opening the front door at night for a just few seconds made the house so chilly Thanks much!
