 v5 Install Question
Matt & Jay, congrats on the release of 5gold!
Would you please verify the following when installing v5.x over v4.1.19:
Will I still have a functioning v4.1.19 to fall back on if things go wrong. I can't afford NO AUTOMATION if v5 has issues, or takes longer than expected to configure. [ie functioning v4 while tinkering with v5]
Granted, this is a worst case scenario, but I like to be prepared.

 Re: v5 Install Question
Definitely -- we always make sure that the major releases (4.x to 5) do not touch the previously installed files. You can always revert back to Indigo 4 if there is an issue.
The only gotcha is that you'll want to choose the Indigo->Stop Local Server menu item from the currently running version before you try to launch the other version. That will make sure the server is shutdown and the other server can properly launch.

 Re: v5 Install Question
I did the jump from 4.1.19 to 5 today, and it was smooth ! Like you I was concerned that problems would occur so I was prepared to go back to 4 if necessary.
The install of version 5 went fine, Indigo started well but with missing elements for my setup. I had to manually copy from the folders of Indigo 4 to the same locations in Indigo 5: - the scripts attachments - the AppleScripts I used, the ones in the scripts folder - the specific images I created for the control pages, that are located in the IndigoWebServer->images->controls->devices and static and also variables and backgrounds - and finally I also copied the sqlite_db from indigoSqlClient into the equivalent folder of version 5, I guess it is necessary only if you use the option of logging everything to the Sql database.
Now the system if complete and fully operational, time to play with the plugins...

 Re: v5 Install Question
I currently have v4 + 10.5.8 on a HD that I will be retiring.
The replacement HD will end up with v5 + 10.6
What are my options?
Can I install 10.6 on the new HD, copy over the 'Perceptive Automation' v4 folder from the old HD, and then upgrade to v5 or do I need to upgrade to v5 on the old HD, then copy the 'Perceptive Automation' v5 folder over to the new HD??

 Re: v5 Install Question
I would do a clean install of Indigo 5.1 on the new OS X 10.6 install, then copy over only these 2 folders:
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 4/Databases/ /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 4/Preferences/
into the Indigo 5 version of that folder:
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 5/
