 Re: DSC Alarm Plugin
Not really. Mine was already enlisted in the program when I received it. You can try posting in the thread where they announced the beta ... http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=197&sid=74a1bc4722b0515ae6ca2337d06349d4

I have a 2DS on the way. How did you get the firmware update?

 Re: DSC Alarm Plugin
The update is in the main stream now. It'll update itself with the new firmware after it's been powered up for a bit. You can download the beta version of the plugin that supports the 2DS here. I've been using it for a few weeks without problems at this point. http://www.frightideas.com/hobbies/dscAlarm/DSC_Alarm_Plugin_Beta.zip

 Re: DSC Alarm Plugin
Hi Travis Thanks for the update, I have it installed and running. I'll let you know if I run into any issues. One small thing I did notice - the timestamp shown on the second line of the LCD panel doesn't update in real time any longer. It appears to be read when the plugin starts and isn't updated after that?

 Re: DSC Alarm Plugin
Are you testing it with a 2DS? If so, one feature they haven't implemented yet is LCD updates.

Yup, using a 2DS. And I guess that explains why the LCD info doesn't work! Do you know if they plan on updating that?

The developer said he may add it in the future. But it would be a light-weight implementation. It would indicate the main events like arming, entry/exit delays, etc. But it wouldn't necessarily be exactly the same message that's shown on actual keypads.

 Re: DSC Alarm Plugin
It's disappointing that they won't be updating that in the firmware, but since it's a UI enhancement, and not a core feature, it's hard to complain about it. TravisC's Indigo code works very with it as is.

OK, thanks for the info. When I use the serial interface to the DSC my serial/USB converter would sometimes lock up with no indication/error and I'd stop getting updates. One way to tell if it was working or not was to check the time stamp on the LCD. So far the Ethernet link to the 2DS hasn't failed, so maybe I don't need this feature! Great job Travis on supporting the 2DS, thanks.

 Re: DSC Alarm Plugin
Are you guys referring to the date/time display in the iPhone screen shot of Travis' original post?
But everything else I'm assuming works for arming/disarming, and zone status?
I've just got one, and going to install it later today. Don't have Indigo just yet, but looking forward to.
I'm currently monitored via the phone (will be looking into changing providers with this thing I suspect). Hopefully I can just power it all fully down and fire up the 2DS without the monitoring being affected.
Cheers.

Correct re the screenshot. All other functions appear to be working, I am getting zone status and can arm/disarm the system. The 2DS does not need to be programmed into the DSC, it will be auto-detected when added to the keybus. Depending on the programming of your DSC, it may report the power fail/restore to your monitoring company.
