Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
Hi Perry -- I'm getting an authentication error. I tried creating a new server device, and I tried changing the username/password in SS (to make sure I had them specified in the plugin dialog correctly). I consistently get 401 errors: - Code: Select all
Cynical SecuritySpy ss server2 reconfiguring because username has changed Cynical SecuritySpy ss server2 reset Cynical SecuritySpy ss server2 is now ready Cynical SecuritySpy Error event tap failed (http 401) Cynical SecuritySpy Error ss server2 unavailable: ('401', 'Unauthorized')
If I turn Web authentication off in SS, then it works.

Check your Accounts Setup pane for the user you're using. What is enabled there?
It looks like you need at minimum Receive live video to actually see a camera, and Allow access to general settings (at the bottom) to engage the event tap (which is now mandatory).
Cheers -- perry

Yep, that was it. Once I enabled Allow access to general settings everything is working. This is a terrific plugin.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
What could I be missing? I've set up a device for my one camera in SecuritySpy and it indicates the "ready" state as a device but when I try to create a recording action with the plug-in I don't get any devices listed in the drop down. If I proceed as it normal and trigger the action is see the below in the event log:
Jan 13, 2012 11:44:42 AM Cynical SecuritySpy Error Error in plugin execution ExecuteAction:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 5/Plugins/Cynical SecuritySpy.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/cyin/plug.py", line 320, in __call__ File "/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 5/Plugins/Cynical SecuritySpy.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/cyin/plug.py", line 347, in action <type 'exceptions.AttributeError'>: 'Record' object has no attribute 'perform'
Thanks for any assistance you might be able to give.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
Got it figured. I created a second device using the camera setting rather than server and that took. Previously I was editing the same device by changing from server and camera...etc and that "seems" to be the culprit.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
Hey Perry,
Any chance of adding the option to display a Variable from Indigo on the overlay mask section? i.e: to embed the current temperature (or whatever) with the video?
Thanks again for this great plugin!

Stay tuned. It's in the works. If you want to try out a beta (and I mean beta - you help test it), drop me a line. Cheers -- perry

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
I have just installed a new mac mini and did not use migration assistant. I downloaded or directly copied all of the indigo and security spy file form the old one. ever since i am getting the following errors I have spent all dat looking for the cause and have given up. Any ideas? I have only showed one but am getting the same error for all cameras. Errors begin when I access control pages either vis browser or indigo touch. WebServer http://myaddress.com:8000/++image?camer ... quality=50 load error: <urlopen error timed out> Found the problem. It is the new securityspy version 2.2.1. Ben added some enhanced web security that I think caused the errors. When I reverted to 2.20 everything worked fine. Don't upgrade to 2.2.1 until he gets this fixed.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
Bensoftware has suggested that I change the ++image to ++video to solve the problem with the new version of securityspy.
Matt, Jay Will indigo support an mjpeg video stream on control pages?

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
Thanks Matt for the prompt reply.
Could this be changed or is video just a no no?

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
I'd love to have streaming video some day on Control Pages, but currently there is no way to do it.

Re: Cynical SecuritySpy: Integrate SecuritySpy with Indigo
Matt on the video question above, bensoftware just releases new securityspy version to provide for mpeg 4 video and audio feed. I assume that this and/or indigo 6 doesn't change the ability to see video on control page?
