SecuritySpy "unavailable: ('301', 'Moved Permanently')"

Howdy!

I have a dedicated Indigo machine and am attempting to access Security Spy on separate machine but I'm unable to connect to the server on the same local network.

I have DL'd the latest 1.6.4 of the SS plugin and keep getting the error:

Starting plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.4" (pid 31521)
Cynical SecuritySpy API version 1.19
Started plugin "Cynical SecuritySpy 1.6.4"
Cynical SecuritySpy mapping device "SecuritySpy Mars" 524064878(server)
Cynical SecuritySpy SecuritySpy Mars starting
Cynical SecuritySpy plugin starting asyn operation
Cynical SecuritySpy Error SecuritySpy Mars unavailable: ('301', 'Moved Permanently')

I've typed in the IP, Port 8001, user and pass several times correctly under config. To make sure it wasn't an access issue, I checked the connection by successfully logging into Security Spy via a web browser,

Is there a problem running the plugin over HTTPS?

Suggestions?

Well, on its face this means that when Cynical SecuritySpy tried to talk to SecuritySpy over its network connection, SecuritySpy answered "no, I'm over there" (a redirect), which the plugin didn't expect.

If you're asking whether the plugin supports https connections to SecuritySpy, the answer is no, and that's probably what SecuritySpy is trying to say ("I'm configured to use https, so please do that.")

If you want to use the (current version of) Cynical SecuritySpy plugin with SecuritySpy, its web server must allow http (not -s) connections.

Cheers

OMG! You've just opened the plugin up for me! I had no idea this was what was preventing me from getting this to work. I always force everything on my network to use https. It finally works!!!!

Thank you!
