initial setup with cloudkey+

I've dug through everything I can find, but I'm finding no joy with initial setup. I have a cloudkey+ running UniFi OS 3.2.12. I've configured it as a cloudkey in the plugin and the user/pass/ip are correct. In the indigo log I see (with the correct ip address):

UNIFI executeCMDOnController LOGIN failed (6 times), will try again; url:https://<IP ADDRESS>:443/api/auth/login, >>ok<< not found, response: >><Response [403]><<

If I go to that url directly I get

{"error":{"code":401,"message":"Unauthorized"}}

I don't see any errors in the plugin log. I tried the code from here just to verify that the local api was doing something:

https://forums.indigodomo.com/viewtopic.php?f=199&t=25123&p=201788&hilit=unifi+%2C+api%2Fauth%2Flogin%2C+response+429#p201788

That resulted in a dump of quite a lot of info from the controller, which I took as a good sign. I'm sure I'm missing something basic in the plugin config and would appreciate any pointers. thanks!

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

1. Do you have 2 factor authentication on? That does not work

2. try to set port number to 433 fixed in config

I am traveling right now back next week Wednesday. And I don’t have access to my system. Can check further when I am back

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

There are 2 userid/ passwords

Web access

SSH access

You can use the plugin also w/o web access. It gets most of the info.
Not stats ( number users web traffic etc)

It gets all connect/ disconnected (on/off) of the client states. It gets that using ssh to connect to the access points, switches, and gateway

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

got it. I was using the local web access credentials and I don't have ssh enabled. Should I be using the cloud web credentials?

You need to
1. Enable ssh in cloud key and use that uid/pwd for the proper section in config

2. Use the web access uid/paswd for the other section in config ie the web access section.

thanks for the confirmation. I enabled ssh and put that in, but it is still failing on the web login.

Then for the time being set the web userid to empty. Then it will it try to use it.

It will still show clients status

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

it is still trying, but with a blank username, and still getting 429s. I will leave it off for longer and see if the controller calms down.

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

spoke too soon. The controller type and web username were lost during a reload and I had to put them in a few times before they would stick. After they did, the errors came back. So it seems it was getting some data via ssh, but web interface to controller is not working.

Re: initial setup with cloudkey+

When you login manually can you try with port 8443 and 443 ?
