I'm using Visio on a PC for my floorplan.

These are great!

What are people using to create floorplans? The inexpensive home design software is PC only and I don't want to shell out for AutoCAD or something like that.

I am just using Photoshop. Take a measurement w/ a tape measure, draw a white line in PS, 2 inches for every one foot, then shrink it down.

I have to say though, that the IRTrans is the coolest add-on so far!

I used Visio on my PC too. I looked for a long time for floorplan software for OSX but never really found anything I liked.

I used a scanned-in blue print, which was then cleaned up in Macromedia Fireworks. I also used Fireworks for designing all the graphics/icons in Indigo, including some of the control page icons. Others were contributed by beta testers.

- With iTunes 6, you could not script the speaker selection. I have not tried it yet with iTunes 7, but they have changed the interface so it may be possible.
- Yes, I control all of my home theater set-up with iRed/IRTrans Ethernet and it works FLAWLESSLY.
- I am trying to figure out SecuritySpy integration as we speak.

If anyone wants the Channel Images get it from:

Does anyone has a good resourse for generic buttons?

Should be pretty easy to do SecuritySpy, just put both the SecuritySpy page and the Indigo page in a frameset or iframes.

The good folks at Google released a new product recently. Google SketchUp is available for MacOS X (and Windoze for completeness). I ran through the Win version to get a sense of "look and feel" and it's really simple. Plus it tells you everything -- when you're at a midpoint, whether you're on x or y axis (they call them "blue" and "green"), if you're line is straight or your freehand rectangle is a square -- and can export to JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and DWG/DXF amongst others.

Naturally, it's free for individuals to use as it's from Google. They have a "Pro" version that companies can buy for $495.

Looks like I've got my software. I can save the CAD bucks for a new Mac Mini.

The Nokia 770 is a terrific device to use for the Control Pages.

You can also control other things with the N770, like SlimServer.

What is the name of the font that you've used for "Home Control" and "Main Bottom View" etc on your control page example and where did you get it?
