COOL, just got one of bass mint's images above and made a toggle switch! it works!

So image.png is the off state, image+on.png is the on state? the +on is what it looks for in any image?

Oh, and obviously variable images must be in the variables folder, etc.

Yes.

I have yet to find a variable value or device state that Indigo couldn't match (except when I did it wrong, that is.)

Seeker -- check out this Wiki article on the image heuristics for a full explanation of how to create the images and how it chooses a value. This explains it very well, but then of course, just practice on your own and see -- sometimes the hardest part is just determining all of the possible states/values!

Web server for control pages

I saw a number of indigoers were serving their own web pages which indigo controls embedded as iframes. I had a couple of questions:-

    Which web server are you using to embed the Iframe based indigo control pages?

    Are you serving from same machine as indigo is running from?

    I was looking at this as a way of limiting which idevice could control what - so the guest room couldn't control the pool - for example. May take some clever routing perhaps but is this a way to achieve that goal? (As well as adding a lot of other content).

Grateful for any insight, code snippets or advice.

Very nice, Rickstreet. You've inspired me with some great ideas to steal ...err...borrow.

I'm a big fan of ONE PAGE control pages. I keep tweaking mine all the time. I want ONE PAGE. The rest of the system should be automated and just run itself. I should only need to interface with it for a few things plus all the status stuff.

Well done.

edit: I gotta ask: what is a 'toilet art light'?

@seeker:

The sliders are likely static images like we were talking about above (i.e., slider+100.png, slider+90.png) and are representative of the dim state--but not a control of the dim state.
