Cannot get rid of a dead device

I had a Z-Wave switch installed and it worked find for about a year, then it stopped responding, it was device 010. Indigo labeled it as unresponsive or whatever. Today, I replaced that switch with a new one, did the define and sync and now that switch is replaced in the system.

However ....

I also installed two more switches, same brand and model and tried to sync those, but I cannot because ....

Code: Select all
   Z-Wave                          started controller inclusion mode
   Z-Wave                          stopped controller inclusion mode
Z-Wave Error                    the node included has the same ID as a node already in use by Indigo
Z-Wave Error                    to change the encryption state of the device you must exclude it before re-including it
   Z-Wave                          received "Basement - Jim's Office" scene 2 (0002)
Z-Wave                          received "Basement - Jim's Office" status update is off

Mar 21, 2024, 10:58:40 AM
Z-Wave                          Syncing - started for "010 - Relay Power Switch"
   Z-Wave                          Syncing - retrieved module neighbors list: 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35, 40, 42, 43, 45, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56
Z-Wave                          Syncing - assigning return route to "010 - Relay Power Switch"
Z-Wave Error                    Syncing - failed to assign return route
   Z-Wave Error                    Syncing - failed

I get those messages when I try to sync the new devices, I cannot exclude the device with 010 (it does not show up on the device list) because I've physically disconnected it and replaced it. I don't know how to proceed and I cannot pair new devices.

Help!

Re: Cannot get rid of a dead device

That did it. I had not tried that option because I believed it would remove all of the modules I use for Christmas decorations, but it did not because the Indio device was still defined (or so I think).

Thanks!
