LW12 status not showing up on ipad

 LW12 status not showing up on ipad I'm new to x10 and just in the process of installing a large number of toys.
One thing that I have noticed is that the LW12 units that I am using do not report to indigo if I switch on at the wall. Am I correct in assuming that the LW12 does not broadcast its status if switched locally.

Correct, the LW12 is a X10 receive-only module so it never transmits out local (at the switch) changes back to Indigo.
