Post Bug: Irrigation zone not turning off
I have a Rain8ii controller which I'm controlling via Indigo 4.1b1.

In Indigo Touch, if I tap a zone that is already on, it switches off briefly before going back on again - rather than staying off as I would expect. The only way I can turn it off is by using the 'stop all' button. I'm guessing this is a bug?

Also, it would be good to have the ability to switch on multiple zones at the same time (both in the main app, and in Indigo Touch).

What Model type do you have selected in the Device dialog for you Rain8? We added a special item for the Rain8 II that adds a delay between the commands that I thought avoided this problem.

Also, can you copy/paste what you see in the Event Log when it fails to work correctly?

Yes, it is setup as a Rain8 II, and I've turned off 'Group addresses on transmission' for the X10 interface (it would be nice to do that on individual house codes).

When I tap the zone that is already on, I see this:

Sent X10 "Garden - Irrigation Controller - Hanging baskets" off
Sent X10 "Garden - Irrigation Controller - Hanging baskets" on

Everything else to do with the irrigation works fine.

Gotcha. I didn't read your description closely enough. Currently, tapping on an already active zone does not toggle it to OFF, but probably should. I'll look into it.

Thanks, that'd be great - I think it would make sense if it did toggle it.

I use Apple 10.6.4 computers with your application Indigo on it.
I have a X10 - Marmitek - system that works fine in my house with Indigo.
I purchased the Rain8II.
I installed a XM10 Marmitek and connected it directly to the Rain8II
I connected the Rain8II to the right power supply of 24VAC.
I never connected the Rain8II directly to my computer.
I gave the Rain8II the "N" house-code

But:

I can send the right signals through Indigo (wireless) to the Rain8II and it responds: the valve opens, the 'Schedule' works, it seems, but it does NOT close although the schedule is finished. I can see in the EventLog of Indigo that indeed the OFF signal has been given.
When I use my X10 remote control and I press the OFF button with the right Unit-code (in this case "N2") it turns off immediately and this is the right thing to happen.

In this setting I have only one valve connected to the Rain8II.

So I think that the Rain8II does not respond to the OFF signal of Indigo.

Anybody an idea?
Thanks!

Did you turn OFF the "Group addresses on transmission" checkbox inside the Preferences dialog? The Rain8 might be confused by Indigo trying to optimize all of the OFF commands sent.

If it still doesn't not work, then copy/paste your Event Log illustrating the problem so I can see more details.
