Hi!

Started using Indigo a few weeks ago (run HomeSeer 2 for many years) and I must say that everything is better w/ Indigo. Especially the GUI editor.

I've ben impressed w/ the support in the forum from every one and I would like to give something back.

Below is some of my Control pages and I have used a very nice program for making the buttons: Art Text 2.

Here is all the control graphics I made so far (including the original ones)

Entre iPad: Big button to "shut down house" and some info about occupancy and security. The trash bin goes red when it's "trash pickup day". And so on...
Image

Master bedroom: Button to "shut down house" and to enable/disable the automatic roller shutter rollup in the morning.
Image

First floor: Made some scenes and individual control of lights, the icons show dim level and status. Different symbols for dishwasher status and so on + the ability to activate Push message when they are done. Many of the smaller rooms use a Virtual device just to show status of the room, if any light is ON the icon shows ON and you can turn all lights off by tapping it.
Image

Second floor: Under construction, need some more Love to be great but it does what I need for now.
Image

Lights outside including control of the RGBW-strip, needs some more work thou.
Image

iPod @ movie room: Fast switching of mode, Indigo events control projector, Denon AVR, XBMC, Sonos, roller shutters, lights and so on. We have about 40 kvm/430 sq ft of windows in the media area so motorised roller shutters are important :) I run this Control page in Safari (made shortcut on homescreen) to make it fullscreen. Works great!
Image

Hope some one finds the graphics usable. I'll try to update the Dropbox w/ new images as I go.

More info:
House: 250 kvm/2700 sq ft
iPad minis: 8 and growing
Nodes: 100+ and growing

Best regards, L

Well, it's centigrade. This is warm for December. Will probably be down to -35 or worse later :)

What does the Dog icon represent?

It's a reminder to put away the dog bowls, we hav 2 poodles (the middle size) that is very hungry at night and they sleep in our bed so we don't want them to go up at night and eat (and potentially waking us). They have to learn to eat at daytime.

We are also kind of senile so we need something to remind us. At 9 PM the button goes red and if the motion sensor in the kitchen triggers, Pushover sends a push to the iPad in the kitchen, i.e. play a sound, w/ HomeSeer the iPad could "talk" and said "put away the dog food" (in Swedish). When you have put away the food you tap the icon w/ the dog and the reminder goes inactive until next dag at 9 PM.

Also, thanks for the Art Text link - a great little app. I played with the demo for 30 minutes and bought it!

Very nice job with the control pages DrLove.

Would it be possible to get a picture of one of your iPads hanging on the wall?

And how do you give them power?

Keep up the good work!

Best regards,
Andreas

Absolutely!

Hard to get a good picture :/

When we built the house (last year) we did everything our self except the shell so I placed boxes in the wall where I wanted iPads:

This is not a permanent solution, the plan is to make frames to the iPad mini's. I have access to 3D CAD at work so I have made a frame I think would match the Schneider Exxact series (my switches):

I must find a sponsor for the injection mold first, kind of expensive. But then it's cheap to produce frames!

Wow, that is impressive! One thing to consider, maybe, is that there are quite a few companies that have started relatively recently that will use 3D printing to create items from the proper file types - and sounds like you have the software to generate their files. Might be fairly cheap even for lower quantities... a couple of years ago the quality was a bit lacking, but I think you'll find the "professional quality" 3D printers are now generating quite impressive output.

(I assume similar companies have popped up in the EU)
