I just picked up this guy for about $24 for a double roll (32 feet). It has wi-fi, and I'm using it with Alexa, currently. Some of the cooler features, such as sound / music control require their app, though.

Any chance of integration with Indigo?

Someone would have to write a plugin for them.

I'm not sure Indigo will ever have native support for proprietary WiFi devices like that because it requires reverse engineering the WiFi payload. (That wouldn't necessarily apply to something that has a published API.)

What can you control on the device with Alexa?
If you are just looking for control of the device, on/off and brightness for example, there is a chance you could use node red and have indigo triggers to control the alexa device.
One of the alexa flows seems to take an input to an alexa node but I have not tried it. I wouldnt hold my breath though.

I think it has an api.

I can control on/off, bright/ color / fade with Alexa.

There's also a credit card remote.
