Venstar Thermostat users?

Folks,

I am looking at making some add-ons for Indigo that work with the Venstar thermostat... But, I'd like to get an idea about how many people use the Venstar Thermostat...

Could you fill out the poll above? Thanks...

Feel free to add any feedback or comments in the thread...

I use the Proliphix IP thermostats... they are MUCH more flexible, and programmable via a HTTP based API...

Don't those require an external power adapter and ethernet cabling? Now if they had one that was WIFI and ran off of the AC line, they'd have something.

They require CAT5 and do PoE.

Wifi/AC would be great !

I've heard good things about those thermostats - they're just pricey (about $150 more for the entry level than the Venstar & adaptor) and require rewiring if you don't have at least Cat5 running to your thermostat locations. If you're looking for more flexibility then the cost/wiring may be justified.
