Thermostat Graphing

I thought this was an easy idea for graphing data to share with others. I used an ODBC driver and Excel to grab info from the SQLite database. You can calculate run-times, daily cumulative run times in Excel instead of relying on Indigo or the adapter to provide it.

Microsoft Query and pivot tables are pretty powerful to use. ODBC drivers cost around $25-$30.

How do I view the attachment? None of that is clickable in firefox.

Anyway here's another idea using rrdtool:

Re: Thermostat Graphing

Not versed in using the forum yet. I just pasted a tiff file of one of the graphs. Sorry, the forum will not let me add a .xls file.

Interesting article. Think I may pull some of the outside temperature data also. The guy is right though, 1 degree at some point tilts the HVAC consumption big time.

Re: Thermostat Graphing

I just tried safari and the graph appears correctly (embedded in the page).

Looks like a bug in the forum software that you can't click to download it.
