One thing to remember is that the GoPrism.com account where you login/create/edit Reflectors uses a different Username and Password than your Indigo Server (which you access via your_reflector_name.goprism.com). The Indigo Server password and username are set in the Start Local Server dialog of Indigo, and thus can easily be changed by you. So if the problem is you cannot remotely access your Control Pages via a browser or Indigo Touch, then you can reset your username / password yourself via that dialog (from the Indigo 4 menu).

If that isn't the case, then email me (indigo-support at perceptiveautomation.com) your GoPrism.com username and/or reflector name and I'll reset your GoPrism.com account itself.

I went in and deleted the reflector and created a new one. Then I started the local server and entered a new user and password. It updated ok but when I click on start local server the password is longer than what I entered. The touch application also says that the reflector connection is down,

I just started using Indidgo about a week ago, so could I delete Indigo from my Mac and re download it to start fresh?

The password being longer than what you entered is okay; the UI does that intentionally to mask the actual length of the password.

Stop the Indigo Server (Stop Server menu item under Indigo 4), then restart it. Wait about 5 minutes, then copy/paste everything you see in the Event Log into a forum post. I need to see exactly what error is being shown.

Is "paintguy" the name of your new reflector?

I'm able to access that reflector right now. Doesn't look like there is a password assigned at all.

What happens if you try to access your reflector URL (from Safari) on the Mac which is running Indigo Server?

Are you by chance running the Indigo Server on multiple Macs at once? This would explain why your Mac isn't able to establish the reflector on your 2nd Indigo Server Mac. You can run multiple copies of the Indigo Client on different Macs, but only one copy of the Indigo Server (at least if they are using the same GoPrism.com reflector settings).

Yes Paintguy is the reflector name. There is a password in remote access. I tried it on the mac and it said connection is down. I changed Indigo on my laptop to run client/server as single application.

OK, that seems to have shut down the server on your laptop. Try restarting the server on your desktop now, and paste in the log like you did before.

Let's start over the Reflector process from scratch. FYI, I deleted your 'paintguy' reflector but not your GoPrism.com user account.

1) Stop the Indigo Server.

2) Delete this folder:
Code: Select all
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 4/Preferences/PrismReflector/

3) Open the Start Local Server dialog.

4) The Reflector status section of the dialog should have a link for you to click on. Follow the link; if there is no reflector ready to be assigned, then create a new one.

I think the problem is you assigned the reflector on your laptop Mac. The reflectors only work on a single Mac, so now you need to create and assign another one.

That Worked

One more question on the iPhone Touch. When I turn a light off should the off button turn blue?

Great!

It isn't supposed to, but I agree there needs to be some additional UI polish on that popup UI panel to better show when something is ON or OFF.
