Reflector connection is currently down

Just began connecting to my reflector about 10 days ago, and I've never used this service before. The remote Mac is running Indigo 5.x (latest) and 10.7.2. I can still see my remote webcam at the same IP address. For about 48 hours I've received the above mentioned error. Is this an unusual event?

Hi Carroll,

Everything looks good on our server side. Open up the Indigo Event log files for the last couple of days and search on "reflector" to see what messages have been logged, and copy/paste what you find into a reply for me.

Also try restarting the Indigo Server via the Indigo 5->Stop Server menu item, then wait a couple of minutes and copy/paste the contents of the entire Event Log window for me.

Do you have SSH access or VNC (screen-sharing / remote Mac) access into the Mac?

No, but looks like I will need to enable that when I go up in early January, huh?

Yeah, I'd recommend it.

Every 15 minutes Indigo checks the reflector connection and if it fails it rebuilds the connection. This handles most connectivity problems (IP address changes, etc.), but obviously something has gone wrong in this case and it isn't able to reconnect. We'll need to see the Event Log files to get more details.

There have been no errors since Dec. 24.

Sometime around Dec. 14 and thereafter I was able to login OK (I guess I just happened to miss the down times). On Dec. 17 I remotely turned on an Insteon In-LineLinc.

Based on the errors, it looks like a general internet connectivity (ISP / cable-DSL modem / etc.) issue. But that doesn't explain why you still had the webcam access.
