Firewall System Preferences

When I start up the server, I get the message that the Indigo Web (HTTP) server port number and Indigo Server port number are blocked by my firewasll. This is true. I turned on the iMac firewall in system preferences.

Rather than turn the entire firewall off, can someone tell me which box(es) to check to allow in system preferences (i.e. Personal File Sharing?, Windows Sharing?)

Thanks.

To run the web server you will need to create a new firewall "rule" if you are using the default port 8000 of Indigo2.

From the server go to System Preferennces, click Sharing. Then under Firewall, click New.

Port Name: Other
TCP Ports: 8000
UDP Ports: leave blank
Description: Indogo Web

Also if you want to use the remote console you will need to create a "rule" for that also (again assuming you stick with the default port of 1176).

Port Name: Other
TCP Ports: 1176
UDP Ports: leave blank
Description: Indigo

The descriptions above are arbitrary so you can use something else if you like.
