| Using Menus in Indigo |
There are 9 menus in the Indigo menu bar:
Indigo 4 menu

While most of this menu is obvious, there are a few options which are worth noting:

File menu

Just a few comments about this menu. The new/select database options will close the current database (you may only be working on one db at a time). By default, databases reside in this folder:
Notice that this is not the local Library folder in your user account, but rather the one at the top level of your hard drive. The other New options will select the appropriate category in the outline view and item list in the Home Window and then show the create dialog for that particular item.
View Menu

When you select one of the options on the list, Indigo shows in the Main Window that outline view and item list.
Go menu

The first three options on this menu apply to Web access (the Browser Control Pages option is a Pro only feature). They will open your default browser to the appropriate page of the Indigo Web Server.
The Event Logs Folder option will open the folder that contains the event logs in the Finder. You must be running the client on the same machine as the server for this to work. In case you're wondering, that folder resides here:
The next 3 options will open your browser to the appropriate Web pages. Note, the Purchase/Upgrade Indigo option will take you to a page that will show you valid upgrades for your version of Indigo as well as full retail pricing.
If you are running Indigo Lite, you will see an the additional Enter Pro Upgrade/Trial Code option. Select this option if you 1) upgraded from Indigo Lite to Indigo Pro, or 2) got an Indigo Pro trial code. If you are running a trial version, you'll see a Disable Pro Trial option that will allow you to end your Indigo Pro trial at any time (which is really only useful if you own Indigo Lite and would like to switch back). If you end your trial, your current trial code will be deactivated (you can't reuse it) so make sure that's what you really want to do.
The last two options will open your browser to the forum and the user contribution library.
Interface menu

The first two options will force your interface(s) to connect or disconnect. When diagnosing problems, sometimes you will be asked to do this.
The Upload Settings... option will open the Upload Settings for Interface dialog described earlier. The Clear Interface option will cause your interface(s) to reset. Again, you may be prompted to do this in response to a support inquiry.
Choose Interface / Serial Port... is a shortcut to the Interface tab on the preferences dialog.
The last four menu items are specifically there to support INSTEON link management, starting with INSTEON Link Syncing.
Window menu

This menu is pretty much the normal Window management menu that is in most Mac applications. The list at the bottom of the menu will only have options for windows that are currently open, including item edit dialogs, INSTEON link dialogs, etc.
Scripts menu

The scripts menu will only be enabled on Indigo Pro. The Open Scripts Folder option will open the scripts folder in the Finder. That folder resides on your hard drive here:
Indigo supports attachment scripts which are loaded at server start. If you make any changes to those scripts while the server is running, you must tell the server to reload those scripts for the change to take effect. Use the Reload Attachments menu option to do that. Scripts that live in the following directory are considered attachment scripts are and loaded at server startup:
Below the separator under Reload Attachments, you'll see a list of all the compiled scripts (not script applications) that are at the top level of the Scripts folder. If you select one of these scripts, it will be executed, so this is a simple way of adding commands to the client menu system.
Help menu

This menu looks a little different on Leopard than it does in Tiger (the Search box isn't present on Tiger). The search field will look for the words you enter in the text box in this manual and in the menus for quick access.
Selecting Indigo 4 Help will open the on-line version of this manual. The Online User Forum will open your default browser to the support forum, and the How-To Wiki option will take you to the How-To Wiki on the Web site. Note that if you have a device selected in the Home Window, you'll be taken to a page that provides more specific information for that device type.
