Advanced Remote-Controllable Inline Dimmer

Fill your entire home with personalized mood lighting for any occasion. The INSTEON-Enabled In-LineLinc Dimmer has 32 brightness levels, which makes setting your lights to the perfect intensity very easy. The In-LineLinc Dimmer can control incandescent bulbs, low-voltage halogen (e.g. track), and other low-voltage lights with magnetic or dimmable electronic transformers. If you need to control a fluorescent light fixture or an appliance, try the INSTEON In-LineLinc Relay.

Use Indigo and the INSTEON PowerLinc V2 Controller and you can schedule any In-LineLinc Dimmer or any other INSTEON-enabled device to turn on or off at a specific time or even at sunrise and sunset. Or, you can use any INSTEON wall switch to trigger (i.e. control) an action from your In-LineLinc Dimmer. With the In-LineLinc Dimmer's remote control ability, you can have the convenience of adding a bedside controller like the INSTEON ControLinc V2 to turn off your lights after you get into bed. Very neat!

Easy To Install

The INSTEON In-LineLinc Dimmer is easy to install and set up. Use the provided screws to mount in a standard J-box or remove them using the screw tabs to mount in a more compact area such as a ceiling light fixture. Screw tabs can be removed using pliers when you are installing into a fixture box with limited space. You don't need to go through the hassle of running the wiring for a new wall switch. By installing an In-LineLinc in a fixture box, you'll be able to control the lights from any location in your home. Simply install the In-LineLinc in the fixture box, link it manually to any other INSTEON device before you close the opening. If you are using a sophisticated home automation control program like Indigo, be sure and write down the unique six character INSTEON address code before you seal up the J-box. You will use this code to define the module to Indigo and thus be able to control it and involve it in “trigger” events and any other sophisticated scripts you might define.

Adjustable Ramp Rate

You can adjust the speed at which the controlled light turns on or off. This is known as the ramp rate. For example, you may want the light in the stairwell to turn on instantly so you can see where you're walking. Alternatively, you may want the light in the master bathroom to ramp up in a soft, gentle fashion so you're not blinded in the middle of the night. The ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 second and 9 seconds if programmed locally.

Compatibility

The In-LineLinc Dimmer is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all of their existing X10 devices. X10 ready means that it can respond to X10 commands from an X10 controller. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals but not X10.

Non-Volatile Memory

All In-LineLinc Dimmer settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the In-LineLinc Dimmer will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.
